FAQ

Common questions about signing a nda

Is an electronically signed NDA legally binding?
An electronically signed NDA is legally binding under the ESIGN Act and UETA in the United States when both parties have demonstrated intent to sign and have consented to using electronic records. The NDA must also be a contract that falls within the scope of those laws. Most standard commercial NDAs do.
Can both parties sign the NDA at the same time?
WoltSign supports both sequential signing (Party A signs first, then Party B receives the document) and parallel signing (both parties receive their own signing request simultaneously). Choose the order when you set up the signing workflow.
Does WoltSign keep a copy of the signed NDA?
Yes. WoltSign stores the completed document with a full audit trail: timestamps, IP addresses, email addresses, and a certificate of completion. All parties receive a copy of the signed document by email.
How long does the NDA signing process take?
Most signers complete an NDA in under 2 minutes. The signing link works on any device without requiring the signer to create an account.
